Roger Bamber

Roger Bamber’s work is well known for it’s distinctive, often wryly humorous style and strong visual impact.

He trained in design, has been a photojournalist since 1965 and during his career his work has been published in every British national newspaper and most magazines. He has twice been British Press Photographer of the Year and when he was travelling the world covering everything from wars to rock and roll he was twice News Photographer of the Year.

Since 1988 he has been part of the Guardian’s celebrated photographic team and his work with them has won him numerous awards for feature photography.

He uses natural light wherever possible and now he is putting some of his favourite images into his portfolio here. He hopes you enjoy them as much as he enjoyed messing about with shapes and light to create them.
