Holidaymakers enjoy Blackpool beach. Blackpool is on the Lancashire coast and has been a popular seaside resort since the late 18th century. People would visit to take in the sea air. Its popularity grew in the 1800s when a railway line connecting it to the industrialised areas was completed in 1840.
