Who is Tom Pilston
Tom Pilston, worked for the Independent on Sunday from 1989 and as a staff photographer for the Independent from 1996 to 2007.
Tom worked during the mid-eighties in London as a freelance photographer and after learning his trade working as a photographer in the music and fashion industries Tom joined the talented photographic staff of the recently launched Independent newspaper. Working for both the Independent and the Independent on Sunday during his employment.
Tom is a multi-award-winning photographer. Scooping awards from The Picture Editors Guild Awards, Nikon, Amnesty International and World Press Photo awards.
He travelled widely while working for the Independent, travelling to Bosnia, Burma, Kosovo and the Sudan.
. He now has many corporate customers and contributes regularly to charities such as Oxfam, Christian Aid, Save the Children and UNICEF.
